We found Darren at the Ashdown Park Hotel Wedding Showcase event and loved the pictures he had taken of previous weddings. We had read the reviews and really liked him, after meeting him for the first time. Darren is accommodating, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. He was very familiar with Ashdown, which was another factor as to why we booked him!
Darren met with us before the wedding to go over what we wanted and to put us at ease and the day before our wedding by calling us to let us know he had not forgotten, which was a great piece of mind.
When the day came Darren fitted in so well and was not intrusive and was very laid back considering we had a large wedding! After the day Darren stayed in contact and continued to update us along the way regarding our photos. I would recommend Darren he did a great job and we even got to re-create the "Bridesmaids" picture!!!!

Darren's first sentence to us was not 'this is what I do' it was 'what are you looking for' this was the moment we knew Darren was the right person for us, he wanted to know what we wanted for the day.
On the day his organisation was amazing, slipping between time with the groom and myself was brilliantly done. Now after the day he's always just a text or phone call away and pictures captured were amazing!!

We interviewed a few wedding photographers at home and chose Darren as he came across as a genuinely decent person whose professionalism and passion in his work was evident. On our wedding day at Langshott Manor Darren was superb - his easy going manner meant we had memorable photographs from infant to elderly and all those reluctant in between!

We got married at Ashdown Park and Darren was our photographer. Darren has a wonderful manner, which is just right for your big day. He is very professional yet at the same time he could easily fit in as one of your guests.
We loved the natural quality of his pictures. Nothing is too much trouble for Darren. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

Trev and I first met Darren at a wedding fair. Trev (who hates even the thought of having his photo taken) was instantly relaxed and at ease around Darren and after looking through samples of his photography we decided to book him for our wedding at the Ashdown Park Hotel in September. We met up with Darren before the wedding to discuss what types of photos we wanted and created a plan for the day that managed to fit in both the shots that our parents wanted and everything we wanted.
On the day itself Darren came to the house to do some shots of the bridal party getting ready. He just fitted right into the preparations in the background, which was perfect for me and then went on to join the grooms party and kept Trev busy (and distracted) right up until I arrived at St Swithurns Church, East Grinstead. He did all our group shots at the church, which meant we could enjoy doing the fun bridal party shots at the venue. It was a really hot day and Darren was so patient with us giving lots of breaks to rehydrate or get out of the sun. He created such a relaxed atmosphere that even Trev enjoyed having his photos taken! Our wedding album is gorgeous and we have a canvas of one of our favourite photos up in our house. He really captured the magic of our day!

Darren Charles Holloway was our photographer for our wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel. He was lovely, charming and very professional. We highly recommend him as he listens to everything you require about photography for your day.
He makes you feel very relaxed and calm. My wife and I don't like our photos normally being taken but Darren made us feel at home.
His photographs look amazing and are very good quality, he is well worth the money with the time and effort he puts in.

From the very first meeting with Darren we knew we had chosen the right photographer, he is not only very efficient and knowledgeable but has a great sense of humour. Darren’s attention to detail with group photos was very impressive, even drawing a “family tree” so that he could remember who was related to whom. On the day Darren’s calm, competent manor kept everyone relaxed and made posing for photographs a very enjoyable part of our day. Darren’s wife, Kate, was also a very important part of their team as she very efficiently moved rouge items out of shot and rearranged the dresses where necessary to get the best image .Many of our guests commented on how well they worked together and how they brought an added sense of fun to the day. When we saw our photos we were absolutely delighted; despite getting married on a snowy February Saturday, we had an amazing amount of wonderful pictures to choose from. We now have a beautiful storybook album which captures the spirit of our day perfectly. We would have no hesitation in recommending Darren Charles Holloway to provide your wedding photographs. – Jane & Malcolm

I'm going to start with the storybook wedding album that my wife and I now have as a permanent reminder of our wedding day. We wanted a small wedding, just close family, at a registry office and then reception at Woodlands Park Hotel. Don't believe for a moment that the circumstances made the day any less significant, in many ways it made it more so. For us, the album had to be really first class, something that would bring back the moments that do become harder to recall as the years pass. Darren took us through all of the options available and we chose the Rolls Royce of albums in the end and what a superb record of the day! We would make exactly the same decision again. The album is physically quite large which just make the photographs all the more stunning.
There is a great range of shots, individual, groups, me with my wife's children, my wife with my children, all the children together. Many of our friends and family have seen the album and all have been astonished at the quality of the photographs and the book itself, the comment we most hear is 'I have never seen anything like this, it's fantastic'.
As to the experience on the day, well, it was second to none. Darren was waiting for us when we arrived at the registry office, complete with white umbrellas as it was drizzling slightly. He was so relaxed and put everyone there completely at ease - yet at the same time was very efficient, knew exactly which photographs were needed yet took our views into account as well. He got some gorgeous shots before and during the ceremony, and afterwards in the grounds of the registry office, despite the fairly dull day managed to capture exactly the mood of the occasion - the photos are simply joyous. Darren then went to the hotel and captured some great shots of us arriving, the champagne reception, the beautifully set dinner table, all the little details that are so easy to forget later.
He took my wife and I off to various locations in the hotel to capture the best of the light spilling through the stained glass lighting up the lovely oak staircase and panelling - in fact probably my favourite picture from the day is of my wife sitting on the stairs in profile with the light streaming though the window picking out the colours in the lovely dress she wore that day and lighting up her hair, and the diamonds on her hand - simply gorgeous.
It really was an unforgettable experience. And ... Darren's photography made us both look at least 10 years younger! I cannot recommend Darren highly enough, he added to the experience of our day, made us all laugh, captured some lovely moments and designed and produced for us a record of the occasion that is absolutely second to none. Quite how he managed to be right there capturing every key moment and yet at the same time remain completely unobtrusive will always be a bit of a mystery! All we can really say is 'Well done Darren - you enhanced our day and gave us the most lovely wedding album as a reminder'! John & Anne

Darren was our photographer for our wedding in June which was at Cain Manor, near Farnham.
We were recommended to Darren by another photographer who does not do weddings, and he really was brilliant. From the moment Darren came to meet us at our home before the wedding, we knew he would be perfect for us. On the day of the wedding, when nerves can get the better of you, Darren immediately put us at ease and really captured the day. The photos are stunning, beautiful and extremely flattering. Being someone who is fairly self-conscious and never liking my photo being taken, Darren was brilliant... And the photos themselves reflect this. I would thoroughly recommend Darren to capture those precious memories that you can keep forever and be extremely proud of.
